iTAMS IVR Example Application: Free Voicemail

Free Voicemail:

This is a simple - but complete IVR system with automated online sign-up, activation by email and extremely simple operation.

We have created a stand-alone web site to show how this can be used with the absolute minimum of effort, while providing a completely automated free voicemail to email service, with only local telephone call charges across the UK.

Operation:

The web site and hosted IVR provides anyone with a free voicemail to email facility, by the following simple method:

• The user enters their basic details via a simple contact form on the web site: www.callinbox.com
• The server automatically creates an account and emails the user their own mailbox and activation information
• The user makes a single short call to the server and enters the PIN sent by email to activate the free service.

Once activated, callers can ring a local telephone number from anywhere in the UK and leave a message in a specific users mailbox.  The message is then sent automatically to the owner of the mailbox by email, with the recording as a sound file attachment.

While we use this as a demonstration of a completely automated IVR, it is a fully operational system in day to day use by real users who benefit from a free voicemail service.
